The UAVs which enter in service in the Russian armed forces come from Russian defence industry. They are easy to use and do not require extensive training for military personnel. The main requirement for candidates is the ability to use computer and some knowledge to calculate UAV positions.

This new UAVs come to replace outdated reconnaissance systems. The upgrade of UAVs in the Russian airborne units will continue this year to the end of 2015.

The use of modern UAVs increases the capacity of intelligence units in the collect of information on the battle field. The use of these new technologies should reduce the loss of human life and in most cases completely avoid them.

In the Russian Navy intelligence units and Special Forces use of these new weapons and military equipment is considered as a priority.
