Russian armed forces will deploy more missile systems S-400 near border and coasts in 2012.
Several batteries of antiaircraft missiles systems S-400 "Triumph" will be deployed in Russian border and coast areas before the end of 2012, said to RIA Novosti the Russian Air Force Commander Alexander Zeline.

"Several air defense systems S-400 "Triumph" must be delivered to the army before the end of the year. Unlike previous years, these missile systems will be not located in the Moscow region but in the border areas and the coasts regions of the country, "said M.Zeline without details.

Previously, the commander of the Baltic Sea Fleet, Vice Admiral Viktor Chirkov, said that the Russian Ministry of Defense plans to deploy S-400 system in the Kaliningrad region (west).

S-400 missiles are designed to destroy all types of air targets (aircraft, drones, cruise missiles, etc..) with a maximum range of 400 km and up to 30 km altitude

Now, Russian armed forces have two missile regiments of S-400 Triumph stationed in the districts of Elektrostal and Dmitrov near Moscow.
