A new powerful S-400 missile will be delivered to the Russian armed forces at the end of 2012.

"As part of the development of the S-400, an anti-aircraft missile long range capable of hitting more than 250 miles apart has been developed. Now that missile tests are completed, its first delivery scheduled for the end of 2012, "said M.Zeline.

S-400 missiles will normally be able to destroy air targets of all types within a maximum range of 400 km. At this time, the most powerful S-400 missile is able to hit targets at a maximum distance of about 250 km.

Actually, Russian armed forces had two S-400 Triumph missile regiments deployed in the districts of Elektrostal and Dmitrov in the Moscow region.
