Another advantage of this mobile air defense system, the launcher can be quickly deployed on the ground on a tripod as the land version of the original RBS 70 NG system. According to SAAB, the mobile RBS 70 NG weapon station can be easily integrated into new combat vehicles but also to existing armored vehicles offering a high mobility air defense system.

At ExpoDefensa 2019, the RBS 70 NG was mounted on the roof of the new Hunter XL, a 4x4 armored vehicle manufactured by the Colombian Company Armor International.

The RBS 70 NG is a man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) designed and manufactured by the Swedish company SAAB. The RBS 70 NG is based on the RBS 70 with new-generation sighting system, high precision, unbeatable range and unjammable laser guidance.

The RBS 70 NG system can destroy targets within the maximum distance of 8,000 m and altitude of 5,000 m. It can be integrated with Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) interrogator to identify friendly targets.

The RBS 70 NG can be deployed in less than 30 seconds while reloading for MANPADS requires less than six seconds. It has 24/7 all-target capability, can launch missiles in complex areas such as urban terrains, and can be operated in all weather conditions during day and night.
