Poongsan from South Korea produces a wide range of military-purpose ammunition — from 5.56mm ammunition to eight-inch projectiles for howitzers — the Company has earned a reputation the world over for quality, with most of the sporting and other commercial ammunition produced by Poongsan being exported abroad.

At ExpoDefensa 2015, Poongsan presents its full range of ammunitions including artillery projectiles of 155mm, 105 and 12 mm cartridges, mortar bombs of 60 and 81 mm, ammunitions for 25/30 mm cannons and cartridges for small arms.
In terms of cluster munition production, the South Korean company has been involved in the production of two types 155 mm artillery cluster munitions: DP-ICM TP/K308 and DP-ICM K310. Poongsan produces almost all kinds of ammunition and their components currently used in the military and the sporting for both domestic and overseas, ranging from small arms ammunition to those ammunition for medium and large calibre weapon systems from a couple of major large-scaled defense industrial plants exporting to more than 50 foreign countries with 2,200 employees in area of 2,200 km: in support of many other defense-aligned cooperative firms. Since the early 1970's with the Korean Government's designation as a general ammunition manufacturer, Poongsan has fully contributed not only to fulfill the self-reliant national defense but also to quench needs from numerous foreign customers thus being known as a global supplier of our world-famous expertise in this field. Poongsan also puts the constant concerns and efforts to create products of quality from raw material, components to final products launching our own rigorous quality control system along with the strict quality assurance by Government authority and globally - approved system of ISO. Every product Poongsan manufactures, from raw material to final production, is subject to a rigorous inspection by Government authority resident in the plant permanently. Of course, the qualities of Poongsan's products are guaranteed by the Korean Government. |
