MSAM Air Defense System is a medium range Surface-to-Air Missile System designed to counter various aerial threats infiltrating at mid/low altitude. The battery of the MSAM system consists of transporter/launchers, a multi-function radar (MFR) and a fire control center (FCC).

The system also supports an engagement control station (ECS) for brigade-level command and control. All the subsystems are developped with state-of-the-art technologies such as the active M/W seeker, the aimable warhead, and the phased array radar.

The system has an effective range up to 40km and an altitude up to 20km with a vertical cold launch system with rapid fire capability and remote wired. The fire control center allows an effective engagement against multiple targets simultaneously and equipped with a CBR shelter. The MSAM is equipped with a multi-function radar.

The MSAM is Currently operated by The Republic of Korea Armed Forces.
