HDS, as one of the main suppliers of the Hellenic Armed Forces, has been through a difficult period given the country’s economic situation. Lately, the company is slowly making its way out of the stagnation through the implementation of many programmes both for the local and export markets.

HDS is currently supplying ammunition to the Hellenic Armed Forces and also delivers the weapons included in the option of the contract for the FN Minimi machine guns.

For the export markets, HDS invests in its strategic cooperation partnership with Orbital ATK, while also taking part in a number of ammunition and missiles programmes. The company is also focusing on remote weapon stations for land and naval applications, in cooperation with foreign companies.

Army Recognition has found out that HDS is in discussions for a series of upgrade programmes of the Hellenic Army, for a large number of its equipment. In addition, some acquisition programmes that were previously put on hold are now in priority and the company will take part in the majority of them. For these reasons, HDS is also in further discussions with a series of local and foreign companies that would be involved in them as suppliers or OEMs. These solutions are being presented to the Army, which will soon define the exact specifications prior to the launch of a tender.
