In the Remote Controlled Howitzer 155 (RCH 155), Krauss-Maffei Wegmann has united state-of-the-art artillery technology and mobility at a level never previously achieved. The vehicle is based on the BOXER 8x8 high-protection wheeled vehicle, and its main weapon system consists of the 155 mm AGM (Artillery Gun Module), which performs all loading and firing processes fully automatically via remote control.

With just a two-man crew, the system is fully mission ready. Its outstanding mobility characteristics open up new strategic, operational and tactical possibilities for artillery operations.

The RCH 155 carries a total of 30 155mm projectiles and 145 modular charges, with six modules used for maximum range. The latter depends on the type of projectile, but a range of more than 40km can be achieved firing an unassisted projectile.

The projectiles and charges are loaded automatically, and the weapon is aimed and fired by remote control under the armour of the Boxer vehicle. A rate of fire of up to eight rounds a minute can be achieved.

The turret of the Boxer RCH 155 is armed with the 155mm/ 52 calibre ordnance that is fitted to the combat-proven Krauss- Maffei Wegmann PzH 2000 tracked self-propelled artillery system deployed by Germany, Greece, Italy and the Netherlands.

The Boxer RCH 155 can be ready to fire and leave its firing position in less 90 seconds
