SEMA World has developed and patented the Ground Bomb Killer (GBK), an innovative and effective anti-bomb solution in the fight against terrorism. The GBK is designed to neutralize the blast and the disastrous consequences of terrorist bombings.

The GBK is similar to a big bag with two handles on the upper part. Placed over and around suspicious objects (for example bags left in public places), this device can save lives and drastically limit damage in the event of an explosion. The GBK can be used to maximize safety in anticipation of the arrival of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team.

The GBK is available in different sizes from hand luggage to trolley with a weight from 16 kg to 73 kg. The GBK is manufactured based on the STANAG 2920 protection level offering V50 resistance from 670 to 931 m/s.

STANAG 2920 (Ballistic test method for personal armour materials and combat clothing) is used to measure materials ability to stop fragments and shrapnel.

Combat troops or police officers rarely suffer injury or fatality from bullets but are at high risk from primary (direct) and secondary (environmental) fragmentation. To combat these threats Intelligent Armour Limited utilizes a special range of Fragmentation F levels whose performance is measured by a V50 value.

The V50 test is the internationally recognized standard for assessing the fragmentation resistance of personal protection. The fragmentation test is conducted using Fragment Simulating Projectiles (FSPs) which are available in a range of weights approximately following the binomial progression. The test is conducted by firing FSPs at the armour at increasing velocities until an average velocity of penetrating and non-penetrating projectiles is obtained.
