Swiss Company MineWolf showcased EOD clearance solutions with its MW50 at Eurosatory 2014.
MineWolf Systems’ participation at Eurosatory was a great success this year. The defence exhibition in Paris from 16th to 20th June was the perfect venue to showcase MineWolf smallest remote-controlled platform, the Micro MineWolf (MW50) with its new robotic arm attachment. It was also a good opportunity to introduce the runway clearance solution to a wider audience.

There was a lot of interest in the Micro MineWolf with its robotic arm designed for remote IED clearance, EOD and PSSM operations. The MW50 was displayed on the MineWolf Systems stand complete with the robotic arm, a camera system and a selection of front-end tools for its various applications, including a gripper, bucket and a disruptor. The robotic arm has a quick-change tool system to switch between bucket, gripper or other tools as required and has a specially designed interface for mounting a disruptor if required, such as the one displayed at the event which is made by Counter Measure Systems Ltd.

Like the other platforms in MineWolf System’s fleet, the Micro MineWolf comes with a range of multi-purpose attachments to ensure that customers always have the right tool for the right task. The tiller attachment was also displayed on the stand demonstrating its versatility as a robust unmanned platform for mine clearance and ground preparation, as well as EOD operations.

The Micro MineWolf MW50 is an armoured, remote controlled platform purpose-built for landmine, IED and route clearance in ultra-rugged, hard to access environments. It is compact and easy to manoeuvre and can be transported on a 4 x 4 pick-up for maximum mobility. Based on proven MineWolf technology with a selection of detachable tools, it is a robust and versatile tool for the most demanding conditions.
