Renault Trucks Defense presented its MIDS, an intervention truck specially designed for the maintenance of public order and internal security missions.

The MIDS - Midlum Security and Public Order Vehicle, which has already been sold to many countries in Europe and the Middle-East is extremely mobile, well protected and able to cross any obstacle in urban areas. It offers a high degree of armored protection in its category and can carry up to 12 officers in both urban and rural settings.Its Renault Midlum chassis provides it with good mobility inside and outside urban areas, while its large volume armored hull protects the policemen against ballistic threats, grenades and even Molotov cocktails.

The MIDS is specifically designed for homeland security, thanks to a non-aggressive look, an outstanding situational awareness thanks to transparent armoured windows, an easy access through side and rear openings and an outstanding mobility thanks to a 4x2 (road) or 4x4 (all-terrain) chassis, and a 300-hp engine.
