Crew survivability is centered around a RG battle-proven “crew citadel” protection system, protecting against mine, IED and ballistic threats.

The RG35 vehicle architecture supports multiple missions. The vehicle can accommodate a full motorized infantry section, with a manned turret or remote weapon system.

The vehicle also provides cost-effective solutions for recce, patrol, utility and specialist roles, such as the ambulance variant.

The hull of the new RG325MIV is larger than the standard RG35 to increase internal space and a single door is mounted to the right side. The vehicle can carry 8 soldiers, including driver and gunner.

The RG35MIV is motorized with a Cummins ISL engine developing 450 hp coupled a ZF six-speed automatic transmission with an integrated retarder and two-speed permanent 4x4 transfer case. The vehicle can run at a maximum speed of 105 km/h. The vehicle is able to negotiate side slopes to 60% and natural and engineered trenches of 1,050mm maximum.

The RG35MIV is protected against firing of small arms up to STANG 4569 A Level 4 and provides also mine protection up to STANAG 4569 B Level 4A/3B. RG35MIV is protected against blasts of 10kg TNT under tires and 8kg TNT under the belly.
