Eurosatory 2014 the best opportunity for defense and security industry to make business.
Eurosatory, a long-standing exhibition, definitely remains the leading land and air-land defence and security event in the world. Every 2 years, the entire Defence and Security industry and market gather for five days in Paris - France for the occasion. Eurosatory International Defense & Security Exhibition is to be held from 16 to 20 June 2014.

Great efforts have always been made to provide exhibitors with a significant number of high value-added visitors (53,480 professional visits in 2012) and to offer them maximum resources and advantages to develop their business. This has always been our top concern. The 72% Exhibitor loyalty is a testimony of the exhibition’s quality.

In 2012, Exhibitor numbers have increased of 9.3%. 53 countries and International Organisations (UE – NATO) were represented. More than 50% of exhibiting companies’ chairmen or CEOs attended the show. 450 new products were officially presented for the first time in an exhibition. All this data contributed to consolidate Eurosatory as the world’s reference.

With visitors from 130 different countries, 152 official delegations from 87 countries, the attendance of 684 journalists and 3.589 visitors from the top management levels, the exhibition clearly attracted a high-level worldwide audience.

Session after session, Eurosatory develops new concepts and opportunities, as much for exhibitors-seller as for visitors-buyers. As organisers, we also compare the various offers available in our business. Our presence at over 38 regional trade fairs and major international exhibitions help us scrutinise technological developments and exhibiting conditions. This strategy allows us to have a full knowledge of the global land and air-land defence and security market. Our surveys also give us the opportunity to contact all the sectors that are under-represented in worldwide tradeshows and to target new industry areas.

Global events and analyses reinforce our decision to maintain and develop the exhibition’ Security section, which is today actually linked to the Defence domain. More than 60% of Eurosatory exhibitors have a dual activity in defence and security. In the latter, Eurosatory attracts products and systems on display used by official Security Forces (Police, Civil Security, Emergency service units, Customs,…) and also the Private sector (protection of hotels, stadiums, mine extraction sites, railways, public transportation, sensitive industrial sites, museums and cultural venues, etc.). These permanent innovations truly enable us to remain leader in the Defence and Security domains.

Markets and equipment offerings are therefore clearly identified. Eurosatory strives to present the entire international offer and the whole land Defence & Security industry and supply chain, from raw materials through to finished products.

With regard to the 2012 exhibition review, our target is to continue our efforts in improving the quality of Eurosatory and to extend the exhibition surface.

As a result, keeping in mind our will to help SMEs enjoy a high visibility, we created 2 new technology clusters: “Civil Security and Emergency Response” and “Critical Infrastructure and Sensitive Facilities Protection”. These clusters will be added to the existing ones, including “CBRNe”, “Training and Simulation”, “Measurements, tests and testing centres” and “Embedded electronics”.
To help visitors organise their visit, we also provide “Themed-visit flyers” focused on each of the above topics.
Therefore, if visitors would like to meet all companies exhibiting in a specific field, they can use our dedicated flyers or the cell phone application we will put in service for them.

We are also continuing to strengthen the air-land component and stepping up efforts with respect to UAVs/UGVs, light aircraft, helicopters and the supply chain dedicated to this field. Today, Air-land products presented during the show include:
- Helicopters and light aircraft from Army Aviation and Security Forces
- MALE UAV, tactical, mini-UAS, UAS WASP, VTOL (73 systems exhibited in 2012)
- Air-Defence: Long/Medium/SHORAD/V- Shored Air-Defence systems, Man pad, Surveillance radar and mast, C- RAM, Missiles, guns and ammunitions, Target drones
- Airborne Equipment: parachuting, and air delivery materiel and systems, clothing, helmets, masks, visors, night goggles, navigation systems
- Pods: Rocket launchers, guns, chain guns, jamming, electro-optical devices.

Eurosatory 2014 adapts to the global economy and encourages new Exhibitors, especially among the SME’s: For the first time at the show, a “Discovery Village”, specifically designed to help SMEs have a greater visibility will be put in place. Featuring 6m² fully-fitted stands, this area is an opportunity to discover the exhibition’s assets at the lowest cost.

We are also developing our National Pavilions. Those already opened in 2012 (Pakistan, South Korea, Indonesia, and UAE) as well as new ones to come.

The important focus on Security also brings new visitors either from government departments seeking to equip security and emergency forces, or from the private sector, seeking solutions for people and assets security. Emerging markets are constantly developing and Eurosatory exhibition adapts. Our event must indeed meet the needs of manufacturers, governments, institutions and private firms whatever are their requirements and ambitions in terms of equipment.

However, success does not hinge on quantity alone. We regard the quality of our exhibitors and visitors to be of vital importance for the status of the event.

We are the only exhibition in the domain to reach such a level and quantity of Official Delegations. In 2012, as evidenced in the diagram below, all continents were represented. Not only the western countries (57 ODs) but also emerging countries (Asia: 27 ODs – South America: 11 ODs) and developing countries (Africa: 15 ODs), to use conventional designations.

Among our exhibitors, even countries with short defence budgets decided to choose Eurosatory as a liable investment to serve both their communication and export strategies.

These figures prove that Eurosatory is the place where all countries come to discover products and solutions for their needs. The exhibition will endeavour again to cover the full spectrum of Defence and Security equipment in all price groups, from new, complex and high-tech most advanced technology systems, to more affordable solutions. Some of these products are presented during the Eurosatory live indoor and outdoor demonstrations, which are held twice a day during the whole week of the exhibition.

The indoor live demonstration is mostly focused on presenting UAVs and UGVs products. Each show lasts 30 to 45 minutes in a dedicated zone.

For the outdoor live demonstration, we turned an entire area in three different highly realistic fields: An urban area, an industrial area and an authentic village. This configuration gives us the opportunity to present the full capacities of products in different contexts and scenarios.

Eurosatory is famous for being a great platform for networking: every two years a vast Defence & Security community attends its conferences, exhibitor’ workshops, one-to-one business meetings, Business consulting meetings, “Do business with” conferences” - that gather international industry prime contractors and subcontractors, etc.

Our main concern is to continuously develop the tradeshow’s advantages to support our exhibitors and visitors in achieving their goals. It is therefore extremely important for us to constantly keep a strong dialogue with them. This mutual trust helps us constantly innovate and create new communication and business tools for our exhibitors. Eurosatory seeks to be a comprehensive event for the Defence and Security world, beyond its primary role as an equipment and systems exhibition. In fact, the show does succeed in offering the broadest response to the various public and private needs in land & Air-land Defence and Security.

For all these reasons, we look forward to welcoming you at the coming Eurosatory from 16 to 20 June 2014!
