The VBCI’s adaptation to FELIN gives the combatants the possibility to easily reload the batteries of their systems and a better preparation of their disembarkation as it allows the use of the FELIN communications system within the VBCI. It demonstrates the adaptability of FELIN since it had already been installed on Vehicules de l’Avant Blindé (VAB) for the deployment of FELIN in Afghanistan.

These two equipments are emblems of the know-how and high tech level of the French industry. The VBCI is produced by Nexter Systems in association with Renault Trucks Defense. Sagem (Safran group) is the prime contractor of the FELIN system.

The VBCI meets the current operational requirements of protection and evolution capacities. A8x8 wheeled armoured vehicle, its Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) version is equipped with a 25 mm turret and accommodates eleven soldiers. Offering a high level of protection, it is a real "home" for the infantrymen. For its own, FELIN is a real quality step in the fields of protection, observation, communications, fire power, mobility and support for the soldiers in direct contact with the enemy.
