EDEX 2021: EDGE unveils Garmoosha light unmanned aircraft system


Edge, the cluster of defense and security companies from the United Arab Emirates, unveils Garmoosha light unmanned aircraft system at EDEX 2021, the Egypt defense exhibition that was held in Egypt from 29 November to 2 December 2021.

The Garmoosha is a next-generation, light unmanned aircraft system (UAS) designed to carry payloads of approximately 100 kg with an endurance of six hours and a range of 150 km.

Designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, Garmoosha has state-of-the-art unmanned systems that can perform a diverse range of missions to meet defence and security force requirements.

It can be deployed in all weather conditions, both day and night, and at altitudes ranging from sea level to 10,000 ft. Each UAS tactical set includes two Garmoosha aircrafts, a ground control station (GCS) shelter, and an efficient transportation shelter.

It can fly a maximum speed of 150 km/h and has a maximum takeoff weight of 500 kg with a length of 6 m, a width of 1.6 m, and a height of 2.8 m.
