New Gepard ASV 4x4 armored Security Vehicle Streit Group DSEI 2017


The Canadian-based Company Streit Group unveils its new 4x4 armoured vehicle Gepard ASV (Armoured Security Vehicle) at DSEI 2017, the Defense and Security Exhibition which takes place in London, United Kingdom from the 12 to 15 September 2017.

The Company Streit Group continues to develop new security and combat vehicles thanks to its Research and development and to response to the new threats. The new Gepard ASV has been designed to offer a new generation of multirole vehicle able to be used for different tasks as EOD vehicle, urban and border patrolling and to perform different types of mission as peacekeeping operations or convoy escort.

The design of the Streit Group Gepard ASV is divided in three main compartments with engine at the front, crew in the middle including driver and commander and troops compartment at the rear with six individual seats. There is a cargo area at the rear of the vehicle. The seating configuration can be adjusted according to customer requirements. It has a curb weight of 7,300 kg and a payload capacity of 1,500 kg.

The Gepard ASV is based on Ford F-550 chassis and is powered by a 6.7L V8 Turbo diesel engine coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It can run at a maximum road speed of 120 km/k with a maximum cruising range of 800 km.

Gepard ASV offers protection on 360° against firing of small arms , hand grenades and fragmentation with its standard CEN B6 protection level.

There is one single hatch on the roof of the vehicle, it can be used to fitted small remote or manual weapon station armed with 7.62 or 12.7mm machine gun.
