The company has on display the Fire Support Information System TECHFIRE, and the bird shape micro-UAV SHEPHERD-MIL, both integrated into EXPAL mortar system, EIMOS.
Within the area of ammunition and energetic products, EXPAL highlights its wide range of fuzes, including the new electronic time artillery fuzes EC102 and EC103, for artillery projectiles, which provides a higher performance and safety.
Also in this area of activity and thanks to the company experience and know-how in the development and manufacturing of propellants, EXPAL will present its capabilities in motor grains regraining for missiles and launchers in short and medium range, providing a better performance of the current resources.
Other developments such as SAZEC, a highly effective zone protection system with versatile structure and flexible adaptation on the ground; and eTRAIDS, the set of tools and electronic applications dedicated to teaching and training defence systems and ammunition, will be show by EXPAL in its booth.
Expal's bird shaped UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle).
EXPAL`s SHEPHERD-MIL is an autonomous aerial reconnaissance device in the shape of a bird, silent and discreet, which incorporates two Day/Night cameras and allows automatic take-off and landing, as well as avigation guided by “waypoints”. SHEPHERD-MIL is integrated into the fire support information system TECHFIRE of EXPAL, as a complement of the Forward Observer (FO).
Its flying capacity, unobtrusive and silent, together with the possibility of equipping it with cameras and geo-location software, allows the application of SHEPHERD-MIL in surveillance and security missions. It is a perfect system for land and maritime border controls, operations against anti-drug operations or intelligence services.
