As Ratchaphon Sirayobhas, Regional Director Asia Pacific, explained to Army Recognition, at Defense & Security Thailand 2019, Ford Global Fleet Sales focuses on Light Utility Vehicles designed for military purposes: the Everest Light Utility Vehicle and the Ranger Light Tactical Vehicle pick-up truck. But since 2002, the company has also gathered wide and strong experience in modifying and armoring commercial SUVs, pick-up trucks, limousines and other standard vehicles. The whole process of designing modifications and implementing them on the Everest is carried on in RMA Group’s plant. The company has already supplied tens of thousands of purpose-built vehicles to nearly 100 countries worldwide.

The Ford Everest is known to be the vehicle selected by the French army to be deeply modified by Arquus in view of replacing its ageing fleet of Peugeot P4s, under the VT4 designation. The camouflage painted on the Everest displayed at the defense exhibition is similar but not identical to the French army one. The Ford Ranger pick-up truck is also used for purpose-built conversions: light utility vehicle, field ambulance, mobile workshop, patrol vehicle, etc., in fact, the same kind of conversions that are possible on the Everest basis. Other Ford vehicles used for conversions are the F-Series and Transit vans.
