American Rheinmetall Vehicles (Sterling Heights, MI), a leading developer of tactical wheeled and tracked combat vehicles and systems has formed a strategic partnership with Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, in pursuit of the U.S. Army’s Optionally-Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV) program.

According to Joseph P. Chacko in Frontier India, Russia has begun mass production of its newest arctic artillery system nicknamed "Magnolia", produced by Uralvagonzavod (UVZ), part of Rostec. In the Autumn and winter of 2021, the system was successfully tested in cold temperatures in northern latitudes. Artillery units deployed in the Arctic and the Extreme North will receive Magnolias.

On August 24, 2021, Army Recognition reported that the Turkish company Aselsan presented a new modernized version of the M60 Main Battle Tank, the M60TM, which is part of the FIRAT-M60T Project. At IDEF 2021, International Defense Exhibition in Turkey, the M-60TM was also fitted with the Active Protection System (APS) PULAT also developed by Aselsan.

In a tweet posted on August 31, the French Defense procurement agency (DGA) announced it had received 200 additional VT4 vehicles, bringing the number of vehicles received in 2022 to 900 out of the 1,200 planned, and the total number of VT4s delivered to 3,900. In total, the Military Programming Law 2019-2025 for 4,380 VT4, mainly for the ground force (Armée de Terre).

A fund of NT$137 million (US$4.5 million) was earmarked for the procurement of the vehicles, wrote CNA.
