A tweet posted on September 16 by the Lithuanian Minsitry of Defense states that Lithuania's military support to Ukraine continues. Ukrainian self-propelled howitzers with battlefield damages are on their way to Lithuania, where they will be repaired. At the same time, Lithuanian M113 armored personnel carriers continue their journey to the battlefield.

On 15 September 2022, Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Mr. François Bausch, announced the acquisition of 80 Command Liaison and Reconnaissance Vehicles (CLRV) for the Luxembourg Army at a cost of EUR 367Mn. The vehicle selected is General Dynamics' Eagle V. The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) will support Luxembourg with the acquisition and the CLRV fleet life-cycle-support requirements up to End-Of-Service-Life (EOSL).

According to information published by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) on September 15, 2022, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) announces the authorization of a Presidential Drawdown of security assistance valued at up to $600 million to meet Ukraine’s critical security and defense needs. This authorization is the Biden Administration’s twenty-first drawdown of equipment from U.S. DoD inventories for Ukraine since August 2021.

Lockheed Martin announced on September 15 that it delivered to the Office of the U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Research & Engineering OUSD (R&E) a new benchmark: a tactically-relevant electric 300 kW-class laser, the most powerful laser that Lockheed Martin has produced to date. This 300 kW-class laser is ready to integrate with the DoD demonstration efforts including the U.S. Army’s Indirect Fires Protection Capability-High Energy Laser (IFPC-HEL) Demonstrator laser weapon system.

According to information published by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) on September 15, 2022, the U.S. Army awarded a production contract for $311 million on Sep. 13 to the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV) between Raytheon Missiles and Defense and Lockheed Martin for delivery of more than 1,800 Javelin missiles that will serve as replenishment for those rounds from DoD stocks sent to Ukraine in support of their military and security forces.

Another key milestone has been achieved in the UK production of Boxer armoured vehicles for the British Army. WFEL has now completed the first fabricated and painted Drive Module hull complete with spall liner materials and driver’s bay insulation. This hull is now available to proceed into the second major production phase - assembly and integration - and will be on display during the British Army's DVD Exhibition at Millbrook Proving Ground next week, 21-22 September.

American Rheinmetall Vehicles (Sterling Heights, MI) has signed a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Army’s Combat Capabilities Develop¬ment Command Ground Vehicle Systems Center (DEVCOM GVSC). The CRADA allows American Rheinmetall Vehicles and DEVCOM GVSC to collaborate on a regular basis to develop integrated combat vehicle suspension, track, and running gear technologies.

According to Defense Studies, the Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program (AFPMP) is assured of receiving at least another PHP40 billion (USD 704 Mn) in fresh funding for the army’s capability-building procurement projects, Surigao del Sur Rep. Johnny Pimentel said on September 11. This year, the AFPMP has PHP29 billion (USD 508 Mn) and PHP10 billion (USD 175 Mn) in programmed and unprogrammed appropriations, respectively.

Funded by Army Headquarters, the nano-Unmanned Aerial Systems (nUAS) project completed a live multiple drone demonstration also known as swarming drones, pushing technological boundaries.
