Signalers of the motorized rifle unit of the Southern Military District (YuVO) have begun practicing practical tasks as part of a tactical and special exercise at the Prudboy training ground in the Volgograd region. The servicemen are working their skills in the use of modern digital radio relay stations, mobile video conferencing systems, new medium and high power radio stations and satellite communications.

During the exercise, the stability of the communication systemis being tested against radioelectronic interferences, disruption of the functioning of computer networks through virus attacks and malicious programs, all kinds of jamming.

Up to 200 military personnel and about 30 units of mobile equipment, stations and communication complexes are involved in the exercise.
