Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Technical Solutions division was awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy to continue providing logistics support products and services to the Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG). The five-year task order was awarded through SeaPort NxG and will be performed at Cheatham Annex, in Yorktown, with support from other HII locations in Virginia.

Belgian Company Army Recognition Group presents its first Web TV Series, "Most Modern Main Battle Tanks in the world", including 7 episodes. Even if many countries have got rid of their main battle tanks to rely only on 6x6 or 8x8 combat vehicles, it appears that, in some circumstances, the need for heavy, medium, or so-called light tanks remains blatant. So, Army Recognition starts broadcasting a web series of video presentations dedicated to a selection of main battle tanks among the most modern ones in the world.

The Russian Defense Ministry has drafted the concept of a two-section tank of the future which is to replace T-14 Armata after the 2040s. The project was presented by the Research Institute of Armor at Army-2020 forum. Gazeta.ru writes about the advantages of the new tank and difficulties its design may encounter.

FN Herstal, a Belgian subsidiary of the Herstal Group, and the French group Nexter anounced on Sept. 2, 2020, that they signed a strategic contract in the framework of the CaMo (Capacité Motorisée, Motorized Capability) program for the modernization of the Belgian Army’s ground mobility capability.

According to a press release published by the Australian Department of Defence on September 3, 2020, the tender for the Protected Mobile Fires project will be released to preferred supplier Hanwha Defence Australia, to build and maintain 30 self-propelled howitzers and 15 armored ammunition resupply vehicles, and their supporting systems. We can assume that the self-propelled howitzer selected by the Australian government is the K9 Thunder produced by the South Korean Company Hanwha Defense.

About 12 companies have made presentations to the Malaysian Defense Ministry for the replacement of 24 Condors for the Malbatt (Malaysian Battalion) mission in Lebanon and about 20-30 Anoas for the Army Ready Battalion which is kept ready for emergency UN peace keeping missions. It has not been decided whether the new vehicle will be a 4x4 or 6x6.

The Indian government has signed contracts worth Rs 2,580 crore to supply six Army regiments with Pinaka missiles. According to a press release published by Elbit Systems on September 1, 2020, Elbit Systems of America was awarded a contract the Defense Logistics Agency Land based in Warren, Michigan to supply the U.S. Army with gunner hand stations, commander hand stations and circuit cards for the Bradley tracked armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV).

Interestingly, some pictures occasionaly pop up on Twitter, revealing or repeating equipment displayed as they are unveiled, be it simply in another paint scheme or actually upgraded. It is the case with the Ezugwu MRAP designed and produces by DICON/NAVMC (Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria).
