The agreement has been assigned by US21, a leading supplier of integrated products, services and logistics to the U.S. Department of Defense, national security agencies, federal civilian agencies, prime contractors, and non-profits worldwide. Focused on supply, sustainment and logistics, US21 designs and develops solutions that support a broad range of mission-critical programs, national security programs, foreign assistance and aid programs.

Eventhough no further detail about the order is available, one may assume that this somewhat surprizing contract represents the U.S. will to support Ukraine in its current conflict with the separatists supported by Russia. The vehicles purchased will certainly not be used by the U.S. Army itself but made available to allies, if not UN peacekeeping operations, for instance.
