On 14 April, MBDA and Nexter participated in the first lock-on firing of an MMP medium-range missile from a Jaguar armored reconnaissance and combat vehicle (EBRC). The French defense procurement agency (DGA) carried out the firing at their Land Techniques Test Centre as part of the Jaguar qualification. Launched from the retractable pod on the Jaguar’s turret in a two-missile configuration, the MMP successfully hit its target.

Rheinmetall has won a pioneering land forces order of pan-European and NATO-wide significance. The British Ministry of Defence has contracted with the Düsseldorf-based technology group to modernize the British Army’s main battle tank fleet. The Marder infantry fighting vehicle celebrates its 50th anniversary on May 7, 2021: it was half a century ago, on 7 May 1971, that the Bundeswehr (German Army) took formal delivery of the first serially produced vehicles.
