Centigon France is proud to announce that its FORTRESS 300 armored vehicle has successfully achieved the unrestricted VR7 (VPAM BRV 2021) certification. This prestigious certification recognizes the vehicle's impressive ballistic and explosive resistance capabilities, reinforcing its position as a top choice in the security and defense market.

After several months of hard work, the tests were conducted at the TNO certification institute in the Netherlands. Prior to this, Centigon France's team capitalized on their decades of experience in design and manufacturing, as well as feedback from their clients' usage experiences. The industrial design processes were optimized to deliver the highest possible level of performance and quality, along with an extensive catalog of options.

The VR7 certification, based on the VPAM BRV 2021 standard, is awarded to vehicles that meet stringent safety and performance requirements. This includes resistance to various types of ballistic and explosive threats, ensuring the safety of occupants in high-risk situations. The "unrestricted" designation means that the company holds the highest VR7 certificate for a 360-degree azimuth and 90-degree elevation. More specifically, this means that the armored glass and roof are certified to protect against the worst possible attack: perpendicular impacts to the protected surface. The vehicle has also been certified as resistant to grenade, mine, and IED explosions.

The VR7 level certification is a prestigious designation awarded to armored vehicles that meet stringent safety and performance requirements, as defined by the VPAM BRV (Vehicle Protection by Armoring and Materials - Ballistic Resistance of Vehicles) standards. This certification is designed to ensure that vehicles are capable of withstanding specific types of ballistic and explosive threats, providing a high level of protection to occupants in potentially dangerous situations.

For the ballistic threats, the vehicle must be able to withstand shots fired from firearms using specific ammunition, such as 7.62x51mm NATO and 5.56x45mm NATO rounds. The test includes multiple impact points to ensure comprehensive protection against various angles of attack.

For the explosive threats, the vehicle must demonstrate resistance to explosions from hand grenades, landmines, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). This is assessed through a series of blast tests that simulate various explosive threats, including underbody and side blasts.

Centigon France's FORTRESS 300 has been meticulously engineered to provide maximum protection for those inside. The achievement of the unrestricted VR7 certification is a testament to the company's commitment to delivering cutting-edge security solutions to clients across the globe.

The FORTRESS 300's advanced design and features make it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications, including military, law enforcement, private security, and VIP transport. With this latest certification, Centigon France continues to solidify its position as a leading provider of armored vehicles and security solutions.

Centigon France's dedication to innovation and excellence has enabled it to achieve this significant milestone. As global security threats continue to evolve, the FORTRESS 300's unparalleled protection capabilities make it a valuable asset in the ongoing efforts to ensure safety and security for individuals and organizations worldwide.
