This is a milestone not only for NIMR but for the UAE as we continue to develop sovereign capabilities and manufacture high-tech and pioneering vehicles locally. We look forward to helping our customers benefit from the exceptional operational capabilities of the AJBAN ISV."

The Ajban ISV is a 4x4 protected vehicle based on the Ajban vehicle developed and manufactured by the company NIMR. The vehicle has been designed to be used by police and security forces to conduct law enforcement missions.

The design of the vehicle consists of three main parts with the engine at the front, a crew cab in the middle with two seats, and a fully enclosed cabin at the rear which can accommodate up to 8 police or security officers. Featuring a military-grade armored cabin, the base ISV can withstand a variety of ballistic threats and other threats typical in riot situations such as fire.

The crew cabin at the front of the vehicle is equipped with a large windshield and a door on each side. All of the windows are protected by screen mesh. The rear part of the hull has three small windows, also protected by screen mesh. Additionally, two doors are mounted at the rear of the hull and are used by police officers for quick entry and exit from the vehicle.

The Ajban ISV is powered by a Diesel engine developing 296 hp at 2,500 rpm coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle can reach a top road speed of 110 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 700 km. The vehicle can negotiate a gradient of 60% and climb a vertical obstacle of up to 400 mm.

The front of the Ajban ISV is fitted with a large dozer blade that can be used to remove obstacles. The roof of the crew cab can be fitted with a non-lethal crowd management system with acoustic and laser dazzler devices. The standard equipment of the vehicle includes air conditioning units, a run-flat tires system, fire suppression equipment for the crew cabin and engine, day and night vision systems, C4I communication systems, and cameras offering 360° real-time situation awareness all around the vehicle.
