According to Daily Sabah, the engine for Turkey’s long-awaited indigenously developed Altay main battle tank (MBT) has arrived from South Korea, Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) head Ismail Demir said Sunday, March 13: "The tests of the engine’s power systems are currently underway. We are waiting for May. We will see the prototype of the tank with this engine," he said while speaking to a group of journalists on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF).

According to Egypt Independent, the Egyptian Minister of Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi on March 13 met with the Vice President of Lockheed Martin for International Business Raymond Piselli and the company’s CEO in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Africa Joseph Rank. Safran Electronics & Defense Australasia has been awarded a contract by Collins Aerospace to provide its full suite of advanced portable optronics to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) as part of the Land 17 Phase 2 Digital Terminal Control Systems (DTCS) Capability Assurance Program. The U.S. Missile Defense Agency successfully launched the most advanced version of the Patriot missile from a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system in a Feb. 24 test at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, Lockheed Martin told Defense News, as reported by Jen Judson. The Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement — or PAC-3 MSE — was fired using the THAAD system against a simulated incoming target, Scott Arnold, vice president of integrated air and missile defense at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, said in a March 9 statement. Lockheed manufactures both the MSE and the THAAD system.

According to Interfax, at the talks in Moscow, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, whom the EU and the United States do not consider legally elected, and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to supply modern military equipment to Belarus. The present-day 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team was constituted on 12 November 1917 at Camp Green, North Carolina. It was originally designated as Headquarters Detachment, 5th Infantry Brigade, 3rd Division. Saab has received a contract modification from the U.S. Marine Corps within the Force on Force Training Systems - Next (FoFTS-Next) program. The modification value is approximately USD 122 million, where USD 54 million was booked during 2021. The original contract was announced in June 2021. The contract modification announced today also includes options, which increases the potential total contract value up to USD 248 million.

U.S. Army Green Berets from the 1st Special Forces Group conducted two weeks of hands-on experimentation with Project Origin Unmanned Systems at Dugway Proving Ground, Jerome Aliotta reports on U.S. Army’s website. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace announced on March 11 that it signed a contract worth Aus$ 67m with Hanwha Defense Australia following a recent announcement by the Australian government to procure AS9 Huntsman self-propelled howitzers and ammunition resupply vehicles.
