At the training ground in Nowa Dęba, Huta Stalowa Wola unveiled a prototype of the Borsuk (Badger) infantry fighting vehicle, Michał Zieliński reports in Polska Zbrojna. The Borsuk IFV was presented as part of the "Dragon '21" exercise, the first maneuvers of the Polish Army in 2021.

S-500 air defense system will fire a new antimissile. The design of the weapon, which has to down hypersonic targets, is to be completed this year. The antimissile has passed the tests and confirmed characteristics, the Izvestia daily writes quoting Defense Ministry sources.

The U.S. Department of Defense announced on June 8 that FN America LLC, Columbia, South Carolina, was awarded a $92,104,736 firm-fixed-price contract to procure M240 Series machine gun variants and spare receivers. One bid was solicited via the internet with one received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of June 8, 2026. U.S. Army Contracting Command, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

The divisions of the Russian Southern Military District will be fully armed with T-90 tanks. The military then plan to rearm the formations with upgraded T-90M Proryv, the Izvestia daily writes quoting Defense Ministry sources. Tank units of the 19th and 20th Motorized Rifle Divisions of the district will be rearmed with T-90. The rearming of the divisions with T-90M is being considered.

As reported on the British Ministry of Defence's website, the Royal Tank Regiment (RTR) Battlegroup (BG) has been preparing for a deployment to Estonia at the British Army’s Sennelager Training Centre in northern Germany. 750 soldiers are involved in the Operation Cabrit rehearsals ahead of the next British-led NATO Battlegroup to go to Estonia in September.

According to information published on June 4, 2021, The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) announced that it has awarded Oshkosh Defense, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK), a $942.9M contract to integrate a 30mm Medium Caliber Weapon System (MCWS) onto the Stryker Double V Hull Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICVVA1). This upgrade will provide precision lethality capability to the Army's Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT).

Northrop Grumman will produce illuminating flares for General Dynamics – Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) that will be used for the U.S. Army’s Tactical Aviation and Ground Munitions’ (TAGM) unguided Hydra-70 Rocket program. The flares will provide greater tactical battlefield illumination in both the visible and infrared spectra.
