Saab has signed a contract for the delivery of live training systems and services to the Dutch armed forces. The order comprises the supply of new equipment and functionality at 727 MSEK, with a 10-year support contract with an annual value of 66.9 MSEK. The total order over the ten-year period is valued at approximately 1.4 billion SEK. The contract also has an option for five years of additional support following the initial 10-year period.

According to Daily Sabah, Turkey’s tactical strike fixed-wing drone Alpagu hit its target with pinpoint accuracy in a test fire in the Aksaray Shooting Range. Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) Chairman Ismail Demir announced the development via a Twitter statement.

According to Asia Pacific Defense Journal, the Taiwanese Ministry of National Defense announced on June 17 that it signed two contracts worth a total of US$1.75 billion with the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), for the acquisition of Boeing’s Harpoon Coastal Defense System (HCDS) and Lockheed Martin M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS).

According to B. Carrasco in IndoDefensa, the Regiment of Anti-Aircraft Artillery (RAAA) 74 of the Spanish Army has recently received its first updated Hawk missile systems, after an overhaul process carried out in Greece. This program is expected to increase the operational availability of this weapon system and is part of the actions to "extend its life cycle beyond 2030".

According to information from the Russian press agency TASS, the Russian armed forces will receive new artillery arms in the coming years, including self-propelled gun 2S43 Malva, Flox 120mm self-propelled mortar system, Magnolia 120mm tracked self-propelled mortar and Drok 82mm wheeled 4x4 mortar carrier vehicle.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), through its Group and Subsidiary Elta Systems Ltd and ESG Elektroniksystem - und Logistik-GmbH, agreed to manufacture and deliver 69 tactical mobile radar systems to the German Land Forces. The agreement was signed between ESG and The Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw). The deal is valued at EUR 36 Million.

The U.S. Marine Corps Program Manager for Training Systems has awarded Saab the Force on Force Training Systems - Next (FoFTS-Next) Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC). The contract has a potential value of USD 127.9 million. The FoFTS-Next SATOC will include U.S. Marine Corps Training Instrumentation Systems (MCTIS) equipment, logistics, and training exercise support.

Created a year ago, the French manufacturer Arquus' Endowment Fund for Heritage inaugurated on June 17 in Garchizy (Nièvre) the Arquus Conservatory. The objective of this Conservatory is to inventory, list, contextualize, showcase and present the objects, documents, vehicles constituting the history of Arquus or historical brands that are part of the company's heritage. This Conservatory already brings together more than 70 military vehicles from Arquus collections, as well as very promising donations and partnerships.

To prepare for unmanned aircraft system threats they may see on the battlefield, Soldiers from the 4th Infantry Division participated in the U.S. Army’s first Counter-Small UAS home-station training session at Fort Carson, Colorado, from April 19-May 7 in advance of an upcoming deployment to the U.S. Central Command region. Soldiers simulated using the Mobile-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Integrated Defeat System, or M-LIDS, which is a system of sensors and shooters mounted on a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle. In an effort to prevent personnel exposure to high-risk environments and dangerous but necessary maintenance tasks, the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is currently developing an autonomous robotic system known as DamBot. As part of this pilot program, ERDC’s Information Technology Laboratory’s Robotic Assessment of Dams (DamBot) team traveled to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District’s Stillhouse Hollow Lake in Temple, Texas recently to test the capabilities of DamBot.

Patria’s wide know-how and long experience in technology transfer is a solid basis for local vehicle manufacturing in Latvia. The target is always to establish a cost-efficient supply chain which usually requires localized production and the use of local supplier networks. The Russian defense industry is upgrading the legendary RPG-7V2 rocket launcher, Chief of NPO Bazalt’s (a subsidiary of Rostec’s Tecmash concern) design center Nikolai Sereda told TASS on June 15: “The RPG-7V2 has already been adopted by the Russian military. At the same time, some upgrades are being introduced to the weapon under a contract with the Ministry of Defense,” said Sereda. According to him, the accuracy of the launcher will be improved through the medium of integration of new sighting systems.

According to Anna Ahronheim in The Jerusalem Post, the Deputy Mayor of the Ukrainian city of Mariupol wants the Iron Dome system to protect the city's airport. Mariupol is the largest city in Ukraine’s Donetsk region that has seen incessant fighting with Russian-backed troops since 2014. The city’s airport, which is near the border with Russia, has been closed since the fighting broke out.

The idea that one should be in and out and undetected, all while maintaining lethality is a perfect description of an Operational Marine operating within the battlespace. The pictures show the Jaguar fitted with wire cage armor. It also seems that it is the first time the inside of the turret is publicly unveiled.
