Bangladesh receives first batch of MaxxPro Dash DXM Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles from US
According to information released on July 27, 2021, Bangladesh has received its first batch of American Navistar MaxxPro Dash DXM Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles from the United States.

In 2019, the Bangladesh army has ordered 50 MaxxPro Dash MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles in support of United Nations (UN) peacekeeping operations in Mali and Yemen. Another 19 vehicles are scheduled for delivery to Bangladesh, with some of the vehicles to be delivered to the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) for their own requirements.
Citing the Asia Pacific Defense Journal website, The deal, worth around US$29 million, includes a US Military Assistance grant worth US$13 million for Bangladesh, as part of the US Government's commitment to assist friendly countries in improving their defense capabilities. Bangladesh has also requested the purchase of another batch of 50 MaxxPro MRAPs from the United States that will cover fiscal years 2020 to 2022.
The MaxxPro Dash is a smaller, lighter and more mobile version of the basic version MaxxPro MRAP family designed and manufactured by the Company Navistar International. The vehicle is designed to endure improvised explosive device (IED) attacks and ambushes, MaxxPro can withstand ballistic arms fire and mine blasts.
The MaxxPro Dash MRAP is built to withstand ballistic arms fire, mine blasts, IEDs, and other emerging threats. Its V-shaped hull helps deflect blasts out and away from the crew and its armoring can be customized to meet any mission requirement.
The MaxxPro Dash DXM is improved with a DXM suspension system that includes Hendrickson Truck Suspension Systems and AxleTech International. It can accommodate two crew members, four to six passengers, and a gunner. The roof of the vehicle is fitted with an open-top one-man turret that can be armed with a 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun.
