According to a Tweet released by US Army Europe twitter account on July 18, 2020, the U.S. Army has deployed M1A2 Abrams Sep V2 main battle tanks in Germany fitted with the new Trophy APS (Active Protection System). The Trophy is an APS developed and designed by the Israeli Company Rafael that can be integrated into main battle tanks and combat vehicles. The goal of this APS is to intercept and destroy incoming anti-tank guide missiles and rockets with a shotgun-like blast.

According to information released by The Print website on July 15, 2020, the Defence Acquisition Council of India could soon take the decision to acquire new Close Quarter Battle (CQB) carbines CAR 816 manufactured by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) firearms company Caracal which is now part of EDGE, advanced technology group of UAE.

PT Pindad (Persero) officially introduced the latest product in the tactical vehicle segment (Rantis), Defence Studies reports. This time, the product created by the SOE is a little bit different from usual. Abraham Moses, President Director of PT Pindad (Persero), said that the Rantis, named Maung, does indeed have differences. The concept leads to lightweight Rantis that can be used on highways or off-road terrain.

BAE Systems has submitted a proposal to the U.S. Army for the delivery of two prototype vehicles for the Cold Weather All-Terrain Vehicle (CATV) program. BAE Systems is offering its Beowulf platform as a production-ready vehicle capable of operating in arctic environments and in all types of terrain for the movement of personnel and cargo under the most remote and harshest conditions.

FLIR Systems announced it has been awarded a full-rate production option worth $21.8 million on an indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract with the U.S. Army. BAE Systems has been awarded a $32 million prototype agreement by the U.S. Army’s Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) to integrate a Hybrid Electric Drive (HED) system onto a Bradley Fighting Vehicle. The 36th edition of Taiwan's 36th Han Kuang military exercise sees the deployment of joint battalions, special forces, air force, navy, and other units. The exercise took place from the 13th to the 17th of July. Military sources said the first day was spent in simulating an invasion by China’s People’s Liberation Army.

General Dynamics Land Systems was awarded a $249,000,000 hybrid (cost-no-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed price) contract for Increment I of the Small Multipurpose Equipment Transport. Within the framework of a contract notified by the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) on 11th May 2020, Nexter has placed a major order with Eurenco, the European leader in energetic materials for the supply of artillery modular charges. A total of 70,000 modules will thus be manufactured on the Eurenco Bergerac site and delivered between 2021 and 2022 to the French Army for use on the CAESAR system.

Israeli company Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Polish company Mesko, a PGZ company, have agreed to co-produce the shoulder-launched Spike SR (Short-Range) ATGM, as part of Poland's Pustelnik Program. Missile components will be produced in Poland, making Mesko part of the Spike SR Global Supply Chain.

The Australian Government will buy 8,500 Enhanced F88 (EF88) assault rifles. The Australian-made weapon will add to the 30,000 units that will be delivered by Thales Australia to the Australian Defence Force. Israel is creating a new special forces unit as part of the Israeli Air Force, Seth J. Frantzman reports in The National Interest. Called the 7th Wing, it will include ground forces and serve operations needs in a variety of theatres the Israeli Defense Forces said on Sunday, July 12. The unit was inaugurated at Palmachim base.
