Iraqi armed forces display new Promoter 4x4 armored vehicles at military parade in Baghdad


During the Iraqi Army Day military parade that was held on January 6, 2021, Iraqi armed forces have displayed new 4x4 armored vehicles called Promoter manufactured by the South Korea company Daeji P&I.

On January 6, 2021, a military parade was held in the Green Zone in the center of Baghdad. in Iraq to mark the 100th anniversary of Army Day. The parade was attended by Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, Commander-in-Chief of Iraqi forces, as well as Iraqi ministers, military commanders, and representatives of diplomatic missions in Iraq.

The Promoter is a 4x4 armored vehicle fully designed and manufactured in South Korea by the company Daeji P&I, a producer of military and security vehicles. The Promoter is a 4x4 armored vehicle that has a conventional design with the engine at the front, crew in the middle and troop's compartment at the rear. The hull of the vehicle provides protection NIJ IV A against the firing of small arms 7.62x63 M2 AP (Armor-piercing).

The Promoter can accommodate up to 12 military personnel including driver and commander. for the Iraqi version, the roof of the vehicle is fitted with a one-man open-to weapon station armed with one 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun.  According to the company Daeji P&I, the Promoter is based on heavy-duty Ford F550 4x4 civilian chassis. Each side of the hull is equipped with two doors as well as two doors at the rear of the hull.

The Promoter seems to be used by the Security forces and has been designed to be used by police forces, SWAT TEAM, and security forces.
