On December 9, 2022, the Finnish company Patria announced that the Japan Ministry of Defense selected the Patria AMV XP 8x8 armored vehicle for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force as their next Wheeled Armored Personnel Carrier 8x8 vehicle under the WAPC program. The new Patria vehicle will replace the Type-96 8x8 armored personnel carrier vehicles which are currently in service with the Japanese army.

On 8 December, Ronkainen tweeted three pictures taken at the opportunity of the first live fire shots from a Swedish CV90 integrating Akeron ATGM. MBDA's Akeron-MP missile system has indeed been successfully integrated and fired from a BAE Systems Hägglunds CV9030 IFV. Unfortunately, none of these three pictures shows the firings themselves, possibly for imposed confidentiality reasons. Notice that the integration of the Spike ATGM was already completed.

According to pictures released on the Social Network Telegram on December 6, 2022, the Russian Ministry of Defense took delivery of a new improved version of the T-72B3M to replace the tanks that were destroyed or damaged during the fighting in Ukraine.
