Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, the Swedish government armaments agency FMV and the Swedish IFV/BVP manufacturer BAE Systems signed a joint memorandum of understanding on December 21. The document confirms the agreement of all three parties on the basic parameters regarding the acquisition of CV90 infantry fighting vehicles.

In a tweet posted by GD Land Systems on December 21, the company announced it is to deliver the latest version of its Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle to the U.S. Marine Corps on Friday, December 23, 2022. The last competitors of this ARV program are Textron Systems and General Dynamics Land Systems, the latter claiming to have been continuously evolving and refining its ARV solution in alignment with the USMC’s future recon/counter recon strategy. An announcement declaring the winner of this contract worth up to $6.8 billion is not expected until late 2023.

On December 20, 2022, during an interview with TF1 and LCI television, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France will send more military equipment and weapons to Ukraine. In recent days, France supplied Ukraine with Crotale NG air defense missile systems and LRU M270 rocket launchers, and more CAESAR 155mm self-propelled howitzers will be delivered to the Ukrainian army in the next few weeks.

The British Army is to benefit from new portable and packable drones to provide intelligence behind enemy lines. A £129 million initial contract has been awarded by the Ministry of Defence to deliver drones to the Armed Forces, of which 99 Stalker and 15 Indago models will be used by the Army.

 

According to a video published on the Twitter account of "Praise The Steph" on December 18, 2022, the Ukrainian armed forces received BATT UMG 4x4 armored vehicles designed by the company The Armored Group with its headquarters office in the United States. In the video, we can see Ukrainian soldiers using the BATT UMG in service in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk oblast.

Saab has received orders from the Latvian Ministry of Defence for ammunition for the Carl-Gusta ant-tank weapon. DMO, the Dutch Defense Ministry‘s acquisition organization providing the Armed Forces with efficient and safe equipment, has commissioned Defenture to deliver at least 41 light tactical vehicles. These Defenture GRF vehicles (dubbed the ‘Vector’ at the Ministry of Defense) will be supplied to the Airborne Mobile Brigade (11 LMB). This contract also opens possibilities for the ministry to acquire additional vehicles over a longer period in the future.

On December 15, 2022, the German Ministry of Defense (MoD) published an updated list of military equipment supplied to Ukraine, Germany delivered 12 Bergepanzer 2 ARV (Armored Recovery Vehicle) based on the tracked chassis of the Leopard 1 MBT (Main Battle Tank) as well as 60,000 rounds of 155mm ammunition, 34 ambulances, and 18 8x8 load-handling trucks.
