Military expert Vladislav Shurygin believes that this indicates serious changes in the Airborne Forces. According to him, we are talking about changing the concept of the Ministry of Defense on the use of troops. The new technology will make it possible to turn the landing force into a rapid reaction force and the basis of the expeditionary contingent. “We saw that wheeled vehicles were in demand in Syria. All movements of Russian units take place on them. And in this case, the excellent security of the Typhoon-VDV will be very useful. Explosion resistance of this equipment is better than that of BMD, and in terms of armament it is not inferior to the BTR-82”, said Shurygin.

On June 24, at the parade in Moscow, they showed the troika K-4386 Typhoon-Airborne Forces in the version with an installed combat module. The 4x4 wheeled armored vehicle is equipped with an automatic 30-mm cannon and a machine gun. But not all K-4386s developed by Remdizel for the Airborne Forces will have a similar configuration. In the family of armored vehicles, there are other options with different weapons, and there is also a regular transport version to carry seven people or cargo.
