According to an updated list of April 4, 2023, published by the United States Department of Defense, a total of 90 Stryker M1126 APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) vehicles has been delivered to the Ukrainian armed forces, but there has been no official announcement regarding the delivery of the Stryker ESV engineering vehicles M1132.

The M1132 Stryker Engineer Squad Vehicle (ESV) is a variant of the Stryker family of armored fighting vehicles used by the United States Army. The Stryker is an 8x8 wheeled vehicle designed to provide a versatile and mobile platform for various mission types, with the M1132 ESV specifically tailored to support combat engineering tasks.

The Stryker offers a high level of protection for its crew against small arms fire, artillery shell fragments, and landmines. The base armor is constructed from steel and can be augmented with additional armor kits for enhanced protection. The vehicle's v-shaped hull helps deflect blasts from mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) away from the crew compartment, improving survivability. Furthermore, the Stryker can be equipped with defensive systems like smoke grenade launchers and a remote weapon station for added protection and threat deterrence.

The Stryker's 8x8 wheeled configuration offers excellent mobility and speed, allowing it to navigate various terrains and maintain a rapid pace on highways. The vehicle is powered by a Caterpillar C7 diesel engine, providing a top speed of around 60 mph (97 km/h) and a range of approximately 300 miles (483 km). Its suspension system, featuring independent double-wishbone coil springs, ensures a comfortable ride for the crew while maintaining off-road capabilities.

The primary role of the M1132 ESV is to offer combat engineering support to the Stryker Brigade Combat Teams (SBCTs). This includes a range of tasks, such as obstacle clearance, mine detection, route reconnaissance, demolition support, and combat support.

For obstacle clearance, the M1132 ESV can be equipped with various attachments like a mine-clearing blade or a hydraulic arm. To detect mines, the vehicle can be fitted with mine detection systems that can locate and neutralize mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on the battlefield. When it comes to route reconnaissance, the M1132 ESV is capable of identifying and marking safe paths for other vehicles and troops.

Additionally, the vehicle can carry and deploy demolition charges to destroy enemy fortifications or create obstacles for the enemy, offering demolition support. Lastly, the M1132 ESV can provide combat support by being equipped with a remote weapon station, which allows it to give direct fire support to infantry units.
