MDT Armor from US wins contract to manufacture David 4x4 light armored vehicles for Israel


According to information published by the United States Department of Defense (DoD), American company MDT Armor Corp., based in Auburn, Alabama, was awarded a $21,913,585 firm-fixed-price contract for the purchase of David Urban Light Armored Vehicles. This contract was awarded to MDT Armor as part of a U.S. Foreign Military Sales agreement for Israel.

Arotech's MDT Protective Industries, based in Israel, partnered with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to design the David vehicle, utilizing the Land Rover Defender chassis. MDT Armor's facility in Auburn, Alabama, constructs the vehicle for procurement by the IDF.
