MOSCOW, April 27. /TASS-DEFENSE/. Roscosmos will build 46 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), CEO of the space agency said: “There will be a total of 46 Sarmat missiles. They will be deployed in the silos which currently carry Voevoda ICBM,” he said.

The PGZ-NAREW consortium has concluded an agreement with MBDA regarding the schedule and terms of delivery of the NAREW system components from the British partner. The contract will allow for the integration of the MBDA launcher and missiles with the radar station and the C2 communication and command system produced by the Polish defence industry.

Nexter has chosen the Belgian company MOL as its partner for the assembly of the multi-role armored vehicles Griffon intended to equip the Belgian Army's land component from 2025 onwards, as part of the CaMo (Motorized Capability) program. MOL is a company specialized in the construction of trucks, trailers and special heavy vehicles, and has already worked for the defense industry.

Dutch Defense Undersecretary Christophe van der Maat has reported the unveiling of the Manticore 4×4 Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV) on Twitter. 1,185 Manticores will replace many of the current 4x4 vehicles in the Dutch land force. The rollout of the vehicles is to start next year. Following performance and acceptance tests by the Dutch armed forces, series production is to start with deliveries scheduled from 2023 to 2026.

The New Zealand Defence Force has finalised a sale of 22 surplus New Zealand Light Armoured Vehicles (NZLAVs) to the Chilean Navy for use by their Marine Corps. The sale is worth US $19.855 million and the vehicles will be shipped to Chile in two tranches: one this year and one in 2023. The sale to the Chilean Navy was brokered by Canadian Commercial Corporation, a Canadian Government organisation that supports international trade arrangements.

Almaz-Antey Concern has launched batch production of S-500 air defense systems, CEO Yan Novikov said: “Batch production of S-500 has been launched with the use of the latest achievements of domestic science and technology”, he told the National Defense journal and stressed the combat parameters of the new weapon considerably exceed the previous air defense systems. “S-500 can become the backbone of the aerospace defense. The launchers will be delivered in the time stipulated by the arms procurement order,” Novikov said but did not elaborate.

The German newspaper Bild, which has access to both Ukrainian and German lists, writes that the German Federal Ministry of Defense, at the insistence of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s office, has removed all heavy weapons from the list of military aid to Ukraine. Hence, upgraded 4x4 vehicles, armored trucks, and some 100 Rheinmetall MAN HX81 heavy tractor-trailers are cleared for transfer to the Ukrainian army, as they are non-lethal equipment.
