BIDEC, Bahrain International Defense Exhibition and Conference was launched in 2017 Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and organized by the British Company Clarion Events. The first edition of BIDEC BIDEC was fully supported by the Bahrain Defence Force, and a new opportunity for the global defense and security to showcase the latest technology, equipment and hardware across land, sea and air. Over 200 exhibiting companies are expected to attend in the 2019 show and over 10,000 guests are expected to visit over the course of the three-day event. Off-Site Activities are planned across Bahrain, including Shooting Displays, Military Vehicle Demonstrations, Parachute Demonstrations and Warship Displays. All will be available to attend via shuttle buses from the exhibition centre.

Following the successful inaugural edition of BIDEC in 2017, the second edition of BIDEC is due to expect over 10,000 visitors, 200 exhibiting companies. SITDEF 2019

International Exhibition of Technology for Defense and Prevention of Natural Disasters

The INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION FOR DEFENSE AND PREVENTION OF NATURAL DISASTERS is a biannual event approved by the Government of Peru and promoted by the Ministry of Defense/ Peruvian Army, since 2007.

The purpose is to promote the assimilation of new technologies and scientific development in areas of interest to the Army, the Armed Forces and the Police Forces. Every two years, this important event, thanks to its successful trajectory and development, has become an excellent business opportunity for the most important manufacturers and producers of defense elements.

The first edition of SITDEF in 2007 raised great expectations which were fully fulfilled thanks to the hard work of the Peruvian Army and the Ministry of Defense of Peru. The aim of this collaboration was to promote the assimilation of new technologies and scientific development, in order to reach the technological level of the most developed countries of the Region. This first edition gathered 35 companies from 14 countries which believed in Peru. The venue measured less than 2,500 square meters.

Goals of SITDEF

The seventh edition of SITDEF was held from May 18th to 21st, at the Army General Command facilities in Lima, Peru, in an area measuring 28,000 square meters. With more than 100 companies from 27 nations participating, more than 40 specialized conferences were held in the areas of security, defense, disaster prevention, air, land, and maritime vehicle technology and modernization, artillery, and munitions. Notable among the firms participating were DS Arms, Advanced Defense Systems, General Dynamics and Gulf Coast (from the United States), and IACIT and General Directorate of Arms and Material (from Brazil), among others.
