Since its inception, the DSA series of exhibitions has grown by leaps and bounds to become one of the leading events in the global defence industry. National security is an issue taken seriously by the Malaysian Government, as it is with any country in the world. Indeed, one hallmark of the Malaysian defence and security industry is the level of collaboration with other players in the said industry, as exemplified in the number of exhibitions and expositions held in this country, of which DSA is a premier example.

Over the years, the DSA series of exhibitions has proven to be the ideal platform for players in the defence and security industry to promote their products, exchange ideas and opinions and forge partnerships based on synergistic and mutual co-operation. Given the growth of the event in past years, I truly believe DSA 2014 will prove to be bigger and better than preceding installments of the exhibition.

Indeed, this event goes beyond a mere exhibition to highlight key features uncharacteristic of such events elsewhere. One of them is the return of the Chief of Army Roundtable Talks (CART) organised by the Malaysian Army, featuring the presentations and deliberation of pertinent issues by Chiefs of Army from around the region.
