Collimator sights 1P63 are designed to enable firing at any time of the day from various modifications of AKMN, AK-74N3, AN-94 rifles and handheld RPK-74N and RPK-74M machine guns.

The sight has a dual illumination which needs no special tuning. It is good for operations in small premises where both eyes cannot see the target. Collimator sights 1P63 are easy and convenient for dynamic combat and in limited time for firing in an unstable position. They considerably increase fire effectiveness and help avoid sighting mistakes. The sighting mark is a triangle in daytime comprising two white horizontal bars and one vertical bar that become green at night. At dusk, the triangle bars are both white and green.
