China to work with Armenia for the development of military cooperation.

Xu Qiliang said that since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Armenia, the relations between the two countries have been developing in a healthy and steady way, as evidenced by frequent high-level contacts, increasingly deepened political mutual trust between the two sides, and fruitful achievements made in fields like economy and trade, science and technology, as well as culture and so forth.

Xu Qiliang stressed that the Chinese side appreciates the constant valuable support given by the Armenian side on issues concerning China’s core and key interests.

In recent years, the relations between the two militaries have been developing smoothly, and the Chinese military is willing to work together with the Armenian military to constantly tap the potential of contacts between the two militaries, upgrade the level of cooperation and push forward the healthy and stable development of the relations between the two militaries, Xu Qiliang added.

Ohanyan said that the Armenian side takes China as its trustworthy friend and good partner, highly appreciates the great achievements reached by China in its construction and the important role China has played in international affairs, and is willing to continue to develop the friendly cooperation between the two sides in various fields in a pragmatic and in-depth way.

Xu Qiliang also briefed Seyran Ohanyan about the economic and social development of China.

Wang Guanzhong, deputy chief of general staff of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), and Armen Sargsyan, Armenian ambassador to China, also attended the meeting.
