The new VAB Ultima is the latest development of the 30 years old VAB armoured personnel carrier designed and manufactured by the French Defence Company Renault Trucks Defense. To answer to the new threats in Afghanistan and the use of FELIN, the future soldier equipment which is entered in service in the French infantry units, Renault Trucks Defense presents this new upgrade of the VAB during at the end of November in Draguignan, France.

British and Afghan army troops have conducted operation EAGLE'S SHADOW against IED factory
 
British troops and Afghan commandos have conducted a daring dawn raid under fire to target a suspected improvised explosive device (IED) factory in Helmand province. Operation EAGLE'S SHADOW saw more than 90 soldiers from the Brigade Reconnaissance Force (BRF) fly in three helicopters to the suspected factory in northern Nahr-e Saraj district.
