Ukraine has the ambition to sell its armoured vehicle BTR-3E1 to the Brunei armed forces.
 
 
The Ukraine continues the conquest of the world defence market by presenting its armored vehicle personnel carrier BTR-3E1 at the International Defence Exhibition in Brunei, BRIDEX 2011. The Ukrainian company Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Office already sold several hundreds of BTR-3E1 armoured vehicles in Asia and in Middle-East.

At the Binturan shooting range in Penanjong Garrison, the Ukraine-made BTR-3E1 demonstrated its 30 mm canon, firing tracer rounds that left streaks of bright orange in the air, then rattled off its turret mounted machine gun, delivering lethal, live rounds at designated targets, several kilometres away.

At the same time, the BTR-3E1, fired off one of its anti-tank side mounted missiles. The BTR-3E1 is equipped with two launchers of anti-tank missile "Barrier", mounted to the right side of the turret.

The live fire demonstration were an opportunity to demonstrate the product capabilities of BRIDEX exhibitors to local military officials as well as interested foreign delegates here for the defence exhibition, said Lt Col (U) Hj Zainal Abidin Hj Ya'akup, directorate of Force Capability Development, Ministry of Defence, in an interview (The Brunei Times).
