Description
The F-11 and the F-18 are two models of anti-ram mobile barrier developed, designed and manufactured by the Belgian Company Pitagone to offer a new generation of counter-terrorism solutions against ramming attacks of cars or trucks. F-11 and F-18 are manually movable and require no machinery to place or re-locate them, thus allowing for ingress and egress of emergency any priority vehicles.

The Pitagone F-11 is the first generation of Pitagone anti-ram mobile barrier that was developed several years ago and used all over the world to protect civilian major events. The F-11 is capable to stop a vehicle or truck launched at an average speed. It can resist to a shock of a 7.5 tons truck launched at 48 Km/h. Fully adjustable, the PITAGONE F-11 adapts to all surfaces and all-terrain including sidewalks, gradients and bumpy roads. The F-11 anti-ram mobile barrier has performed a crash test in Germany. It’s the only anti-ram mobile in Europe that has received a German security certification for an attack of 7.5 tons vehicle running at a speed of 48 km/h. For the F-11, there is also a storage solution with a security box that allows better use of space in a warehouse and a significant reduction in transport costs. The Security Box is able to carry 12 F-11 anti-ram mobile barriers with an empty weight of 415 kg and a loaded weight of 967 kg. The Security Box has a length of 2.5m, a width of 1.2m and a height of 1.35 m. The F-11 can also be stored on a rack to offer more mobility in case of deployment. The rack solution offers adjustable coverage to ensure a high degree of flexibility. This system is resistant to harshest usage conditions. More efficient use of space in your warehouses and reduces transport costs. The Rack system is able to carry 6 F-11 anti-ram mobile barriers with an empty weight of 70 kg and a loaded weight of 340 kg. The Security Box has a length of 1.2 m, a width of 0.8 m and a height of around 1 m. |

The Pitagone F18 is an anti-ram mobile barrier to make people safe and secure, wherever they meet at events, market, music concerts etc. Its construction makes it almost impossible for vehicles and trucks to pass. For greater ease of deployment, PITAGONE anti-rams barriers are fully modular and can be adapted to all surfaces and terrains (including footpaths and slopes). The new F18 anti-ram mobile barrier has a total weight of 39 kg and can be deployed by only one person. The system can be quickly installed on the ground in less than a few seconds without any tools. The design of the F18 anti-ram barrier offers energy and lateral shock absorption. As for the F-11, the F-18 can be stored on the Rack System able to carry 6 F-18 anti-ram mobile barriers offering resistance to the harshest usage conditions and operational productivity time-saver. Rack Systems also offers efficient use of space in your warehouses and a significant reduction in transport costs. This storage system is quickly and easily to handle. The new Pitagone F18 anti-ram vehicle barrier is a certified system that withstands the impact of a vehicular attack from 7.5 to 18 tons at a maximum speed of 48 km/h. Additionally, the F18 is the only hand portable Vehicle Barriers to pass the new German certification N3/N3C CP1S with a 12 ton (24,000lb) vehicle. This new German testing standard calls for an attacking the barriers at a 90-degree angle with a 1m (3.9ft) offset where the front end of the truck is not in contact with the barrier. The second test to achieve the rigorous German certification has an impact at a 45-degree angle with a 1m (3.9ft) offset. Again, this is where 1m of the front of the truck is not in contact with the barrier. This simulates a real-world non 90-degree angle of attack. During a crash test in Germany, a truck of 12 tons was stopped on wet ground at 90° but also on 45°, a unique feature of the Pitagone F18 anti-ram barrier. The front of the truck including the engine was also fully destroyed to ensure total truck immobility. |
