A globally recognized leader in the design and production of military vehicle systems, Oshkosh Defense enters AUSA 2021 with several recent contract awards highlighting its leadership in the tactical wheeled vehicle market and the company's expansion into adjacencies, including combat vehicles.

"As we grow our portfolio, our top priority is to listen to our customers and deliver against their requirements for purpose-built solutions designed for current and future missions," said John Bryant, Executive Vice President, Oshkosh Corporation and President of Oshkosh Defense. "Every vehicle and system we design, build and deliver is backed by our proven manufacturing capabilities, robust supply chain, and an experienced workforce made up of military vehicle experts that uniquely understand the complexities of the modern battlefield."

International momentum surrounding the Oshkosh JLTV, which provides unprecedented levels of off-road mobility, survivability, and integrated firepower on a light tactical vehicle platform, continues with orders or commitments from eight NATO, Allied and Coalition partners including Belgium, Montenegro, Slovenia, Lithuania, Brazil, Romania, North Macedonia and the United Kingdom. Oshkosh Defense and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems also recently completed a successful live firing of Rafael's SPIKE NLOS missile from an Oshkosh JLTV. In addition, Oshkosh Defense demonstrated the JLTV-based Remotely Operated Ground Unit for Expeditionary (ROGUE) Fires as part of the U.S. Navy's large-scale exercise in which the vehicle launched a Naval Strike Missile and scored a direct hit on a target at sea. To date, Oshkosh has built more than 13,500 JLTVs, and they've been fielded to over 40 locations around the globe.

The two doors version of the Oshkosh Defense JLTV displayed at AUSA, has a crew cabin a the front able to accommodate a crew of two soldiers and a cargo area at the rear which is fitted with a launcher weapon station armed with four missile container launchers able to fire SPIKE NLOS (Non-Line-Of-Sight) anti-tank missiles.

The Spike NLOS (Non-Line-Of-Sight) is a multi-purpose, electro-optical missile system with a real-time wireless data link for ranges up to 25km. The Spike NLOS weapon system is a member of the world-renowned Spike Family. The system provides the gunner with the unique ability to attack targets at stand-off range with no line of sight.

The Spike NLOS weapon system can be operated in either direct attack or mid-course navigation based on target coordinates only. These modes enable the defeat of long-range hidden targets with pinpoint precision, damage assessment and the obtaining of real-time intelligence. The electro-optical (EO) seeker of the missile incorporates a dual sensor capable of effectively engaging targets day and night and in adverse weather conditions.
