Rafael Iron Dome an effective defense solution for countering rockets, artillery & mortars (C-RAM) as well as aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, PGMs.

In the field of Air Defense Systems, Rafael will present the Iron Dome:

The Iron Dome is the only dual mission system in the world that provides an effective defense solution for countering rockets, artillery & mortars (C-RAM) as well as aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, PGMs. The system is an effective system for countering C-RAM threats with ranges of up to 70 km and for VSHORAD protection (up to 10 km). The system operates in all weather conditions, including low clouds, rain, dust storms or fog.

Iron Dome can handle multiple threats simultaneously and efficiently. The system enables effective and selective handling of critical threats aimed at the defended zone to reduce unnecessary launches. The system uses a unique interceptor with a special warhead that detonates any target in the air within seconds.

Trophy is a situational awareness and Active Protection Hard Kill (HK) System (APS) which is available in two main configurations: HV-MV (Heavy and Medium Armored Vehicle) and LV (Light Armored Vehicle). Both configurations dramatically boost the force’s survivability, and provide a vital add-on capability for the maneuvering combat teams.

Rafael Suvivability Systems with active armour solution Trophy family:

Trophy is a situational awareness and Active Protection Hard Kill (HK) System (APS) which is available in two main configurations: HV-MV (Heavy and Medium Armored Vehicle) and LV (Light Armored Vehicle). Both configurations dramatically boost the force’s survivability, and provide a vital add-on capability for the maneuvering combat teams.

Trophy HV-MV neutralizes all types of Chemical Energy (CE) threats in flight, addressing them in four major stages: Threat detection, threat tracking, Hard Kill (HK) countermeasure (Multiple Explosive Formed Penetrators - MEFP) activation, and threat neutralization. Only those threats which are about to hit are actioned, thereby conserving on ammunition and possible collateral damage.

Trophy-LV eliminates all RPG threats which are about to hit the vehicle. First, it acquires the threat, then charges the threatened side of the vehicle, and literally beheads the rocket before it has a chance to initiate or make impact.

Trophy-HV is serially-produced, tested and qualified, forming an integral part of the Merkava MkIV Main Battle Tank (MBT). Introduced operationally by the IDF in August 2009, Trophy-HV was deployed and battle-proven in combat along Israel’s borders.

The members of Rafael's 4th generation multi-purpose missile family share many of the same features that combine to meet the challenge presented by enemy forces. They have sophisticated electro-optic CCD / IIR sensors for operation during the day, at night and in adverse weather conditions. Their lofted trajectories enable the warhead to hit the target at its most vulnerable part with pinpoint precision.

Family of Multi-Purpose, Tactical Missiles with the Spike Family:

The members of Rafael's 4th generation multi-purpose missile family share many of the same features that combine to meet the challenge presented by enemy forces. They have sophisticated electro-optic CCD / IIR sensors for operation during the day, at night and in adverse weather conditions. Their lofted trajectories enable the warhead to hit the target at its most vulnerable part with pinpoint precision.

All of the Spike Family members have a low Life Cycle Cost, due to high commonality between members, high reliability, ease of use and a Built-in-Test. Full Integrated Logistic Support package (ILS) is available for the Spike Family.
