Russian land forces, airborne troops received nearly 130 armored vehicles in second quarter


Russia`s Land Forces (SV) and Airborne Troops (VDV) received more than 130 armored vehicles in the second quarter of the year, according to the Ministry of Defense (MoD).

"The troops also took the delivery of 537 new and 214 repaired automotive vehicles, 937 communications systems, and 218 surface-to air missiles," the MoD added. Moreover, 22 9P149 Shturm-S self-propelled anti-tank guided missiles (SPATGM) systems were refurbished and delivered to the military within the prescribed period. The VDV received more than 3,000 various parachutes.

The MoD said the troops would receive three DT-10PM two-unit amphibious tracked carriers, which had been tested under the weather conditions of the Extreme North, at an early date.
