According to him, the Ryazan Airborne Military Academy and the local airborne regiment are conducting operational evaluation of the advanced combat gear. "This will allow adapting it to the Airborne Force’s requirements. We are interacting with the Defense Ministry’s Main Rocket, Missile and Artillery Directorate to equip our units with the Ratnik combat outfit on schedule," the commander said. The delivery of the second-generation Ratnik combat gear to the Army, Airborne Force and Marine Corps began in 2016. The system includes armor vests and helmets, small arms, sights and reconnaissance equipment.
