BAE Systems unveilled iMOTR: an innovative mobile multiple-object tracking radar
 
BAE Systems today introduced iMOTR™, an innovative, mobile multiple-object tracking radar (MOTR), which uses commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions to provide military test and evaluation ranges a higher degree of accuracy in tracking time, space, and position information (TSPI) for objects in flight. The solution was unveiled at the annual Space and Missile Defense Symposium in Huntsville, Alabama.

 Belgium issues RFI for LMV Lynx light armored vehicle replacement
 
The Belgian Defence Ministry issued yesterday a Request For Information (RFI) for the purchase of new armoured command & liaison vehicles to complement and replace its current fleet of LMV Lynx light tactical vehicles. Tendering shall begin at the beginning of 2018 while the contract is expected to be awarded in the same year and deliveries should start in 2021, the Belgian MoD said.

India developed its first unmanned ground vehicle based on a BMP-1 Infantry Fighting Vehicle
 
India`s Defense Research and Development Organization has developed the first indigenous unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), according to the Economic Times newspaper. The UGV is based on the Soviet BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) and dubbed Muntra. Two such vehicles were showcased at the Science for Soldiers exhibition.

Russian Airborne Force will be equipped with the Ratnik combat gear before yearend
 
All servicemen of Russia’s Airborne Force will be provided with the Ratnik combat gear before the yearend, Airborne Force Commander Andrei Serdyukov said. "We are planning to provide all our soldiers and officers with the Ratnik combat system by the end of 2017," Serdyukov said in an interview with the Rossiyskaya Gazeta government daily.

Oshkosh Defense contracted by the US Army to deliver 748 Joint Light Tactical Vehicle
 
Oshkosh Defense, announced today that the U.S. Army has placed another order for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program including 748 vehicles and 2,359 installed and packaged kits. The order valued at more than $195 million, is the fifth order for JLTVs since the contract was awarded in August 2015.
